Following the 2023 season, ACSC’s midfielder Abby Boyan has signed her first pro contract with AaB Kvinde Elitefodbold in the Danish top-division Elitedivisionen. 

Boyan played a pivotal role in the Blues 2nd ranked season, starting in 11 of 12 games as acting captain of the squad. 

“AaB competes in the highest division in Denmark located in a city called Aalborg. I’m looking forward to starting my professional career here where I can grow as a player and elevate my soccer abilities. The team is highly competitive which pushes me to perform at my best in a more consistent manner,” said Boyan. 

“I loved my time in Asheville! It was exactly what I needed in between the end of my college career and the beginning of my professional career. It was a great opportunity to be able to be coached by my college coach again,” said Boyan. “Billy, he has taught me so much and has helped shape me into the player I am today. Asheville also gave me a new set of incredible teammates that I will be friends with for a long time. The atmosphere and community both within Asheville city and the town itself was an amazing experience for the summer and I enjoyed every part of it.”
