Asheville City Soccer Club will play host to East Atlanta FC this Wednesday, June 23rd for a 7:30 p.m kickoff.

The last time the two clubs met on the pitch, Asheville City won 4-0 for their first road victory. The Blues saw four separate goal scorers in the win with Nathan Watt, Joe LaCasto, Zack Aversano, and Michael Wilkerson all finding the back of the net.

ACSC hope to carry the momentum from the initial fixture as EAFC are undefeated in their last four games. The run of form has allowed the Legends to catapult from last place in the USL2 Deep South Division table to fifth, jumping the Blues in the process.

Asheville is amidst a two-game skid, dropping the Blues to sixth place and a point behind Wednesday’s visitors, with ACSC owning a game-in-hand. Despite the recent poor form, the Blues remain undefeated at Greenwood Field.

Tickets for the primetime contest can be found here. Not many tickets remain, so fans are encouraged to claim theirs now and not take the risk of being turned away at the gate due to the match being sold out.

Meanwhile, the Girls in Blue travel to Columbia, South Carolina off the back of a massive 1-0 victory over previously undefeated Charlotte Eagles.

SC United Bantams (1-1-2) will be Wednesday night’s opponent for the Blues. This contest was rescheduled from a rain-out over a week ago. The Bantams currently sit in second-to-last in the standings with four points. City currently sits in second with nine points and three games-in-hand.

Saturday, the Blues’ stock in the WPSL Carolina Conference skyrocketed thanks to late-game PK by University of Virginia midfielder Emma Dawson for her first goal with the club.
