Samantha Sharrocks has made the leap to the professional level, signing with English FA National League side Derby County FC. Sharrocks played two seasons with the Blues (2025-2026) and was a part of the club’s first USL W League South Central Division title and Southern Conference Championship in 2025 and was a key part in the repeat of those titles again this season.
Sharrocks first came to the Blues in the middle of the season. She quickly gelled with the team and played a pivotal role in a stellar Blues backline that carried them to the South Central Division and Conference titles. She returned in 2026 and played a large role in the 8-match winning streak that turned around the season and led the Blues to back-to-back division titles.
Sharrocks played her college ball at Rider and Jacksonville and spent two years at both schools. The defender started 10 of 25 matches played with the Broncos and contributed one assist over two seasons while helping the program reach the MAAC Quarterfinals in 2022 and Semifinals in 2023. She then racked up 10 starts in 20 matches played with the Dolphins, as they qualified for the ASUN tournament in 2024 and reached the Semifinals in 2025. Sharrocks now returns to Derby County where she was a captain in their academy from U12 to U16.
