USL has announced the USL League 2 and USL W League schedules for the 2025 season, setting the stage for the Men and Women in Blue to begin their respective quests for a National Championship.
After three additions to the USL League 2 South Central Division in 2025, ACSC looks to take home their third straight division crown. Apotheos FC, Columbus United FC, and Montgomery United FC join the Blues and the 6 other returning clubs from last season in the division as the schedule moves from 12 games to 14.
The Men in Blue open up their campaign on May 24th at home against division newcomer Apotheos, a 2023 NPSL National Championship Finalist and finish off the regular season also at home against Athens United. The Blues will take on 5 of their 9 division opponents in home-and-home contests, with the exceptions being Birmingham (Away), Columbus (Away) Montgomery (Home), and Dothan (Home). Dothan was one of two teams to take points from Asheville last season after they battled to a 0-0 draw in Dothan on June 8th, 2024. The Blues would be triumphant in the return match however, soundly beating Dothan 4-0 in a heated match which saw two Dragons be sent off at Greenwood Field.
The South Central Division also received a shake-up on the USL W League side, as Athens United departs but USLW Knoxville joins to leave the team count at 7. The schedule remains at 12 games for the Women in Blue who finished 2nd in the division last year behind Tennessee SC, but qualified for the playoffs as a wildcard team.
The Women in Blue open up their campaign on May 11th at USLW newcomer Knoxville, and finish off their season on June 28th at Greenwood Field against their fierce rival the Greenville Liberty, who got the best of the Blues in both meetings last year after Asheville completed the sweep against them in 2023. The Blues will take all 6 division opponents both at home and on the road including Tennessee SC, who the Blues drew 3-3 in Nashville in the regular season and beat 4-1 in Asheville on the final night of the regular season last year to clinch a playoff spot. Tennessee however would extract revenge at Greenwood Field in the Quarterfinals of the USLW playoffs, ending the Blues’ season with a 1-0 victory.
Season tickets are on sale now. All home game kick-offs are at 7:30 with exception of the May 24th doubleheader, when the Women kick off at 4:30 against Birmingham and the Men at 7:30 against Apotheos for the season opener. All home games will also be streamed live on the Asheville City SC YouTube Channel.
