With a focus on providing professional pathways to local youth players, the Asheville City Soccer Club is excited to join the USL Academy League for the 2023 season.

The purpose of the USL Academy League is to establish youth to pro player development pathways, linking elite youth organizations with USL Senior Teams in Championship, League One, & League Two.

“We are very excited to be joining the USL Academy. It's essential to our mission to provide the best opportunities for our players to develop and enjoy the game. Being a part of the USL Academy gives our players more opportunities to play at the next level against the best competition.” ~ Lydia Vandenbergh Jackson, ACSC.

The AC Academy is committed to carrying on the tradition of supporting the development of Western North Carolina youth players both on- and off-the-field.

The AC Academy consists of one girls team and one boys team to support each of the Club's first teams and features a training-focused environment designed to supplement and complement the players’ experiences with their school and club teams.

The AC Academy is available to all through a tryout process with priority given to high-school aged youth residing in Western North Carolina.

Open tryouts for the 2023 season will be held in early to mid-April with a final date to be announced soon.

Since day one, the ACSC’s academy program has been a free program for area youth (no Pay-to-Play for players/families) and a commitment from ACSC to our community.
