Asheville’s premier soccer club is teaming up with the city’s original craft brewery.

Asheville City Soccer Club (ACSC) is proud to announce a new partnership with Highland Brewery ahead of the 2023 season.

“The partnership of Asheville City Soccer Club and Highland Brewing is founded in a shared value of excellence accomplished through sustainability and a focus on the local community,” said Tim Blekicki, ACSC General Manager. “We are both producing products that bring people together, as they are, and we’re excited to be combining our efforts to make western North Carolina a better place to live, celebrate and play.”

Founded in 1994 by Oscar Wong, Highland was the first legal brewery in Asheville since prohibition. Today, Highland is led by Oscar’s daughter, Leah Wong Ashburn, on a 40-acre property in East Asheville.

“With our two taproom locations and Highland beer sold everywhere the Asheville City Soccer Club travels, it’s a great match. We look forward to supporting the team and celebrating our shared love of Asheville, sports and beer.” ~ Leah Wong Ashburn.

The partnership will include the Highland logo on the back of all ACSC jerseys for the 2023 season.

Founded in 2016, ACSC was created as a way to help local players pursue their dreams and grow the game while using soccer as a way to give back to the community.

Asheville City Soccer men and women’s teams will return to the pitch in the summer of 2023 at Greenwood Fields on the UNCA campus.
