ACSC will resume their June 24 game against the Tri-Cities Otters after a lighting outage on the field forced an early end of the game last week.

USL League Two announced this week the remainder of the game will be played on Tuesday, July 12, at 6:30 pm at the John B. Lewis Soccer Complex

John B. Lewis is the Blues' training facility, which is located at 439 Azalea Rd. E, Asheville, NC.

Asheville City SC is proud to announce that the match at JBL will be open to the public, free of charge. Please note that there will not be food or drink available for purchase from our normal match-day partners and vendors.

“It’s great news that we have managed to find a way to finish the game, we were disappointed with the outcome as goal difference could play a key role as we draw to the end of the regular season,” said head coach Scott Wells.

On Friday, the Blues took a late first-half goal in stoppage when Kemy Amiche broke away from the backline and smashed in his seventh goal of the season giving the Blues a 1-0 lead.

Just after the goal, the Otters had the chance to tie things up with a penalty kick, but the kick sailed high and to the right of the goal.

Just after halftime, the match had a significant delay when the field suffered a power outage. This delay ended up being final as the referees called the game over an hour later.

The men’s team remains in the running for playoffs as the top two teams in the South Central Division will receive playoff nods. Asheville City and One Knoxville are currently in the playoff positions, with South Georgia Tormenta 2, South Carolina United, and SSA Kings the only other clubs still contending for a playoff bid.

The men’s team returns to Memorial Stadium on July 6 against South Carolina United FC with a 7:30 p.m. kick off.
