Asheville City Soccer Club’s Women’s team will play the first game of the Tuesday doubleheader at 5 p.m. for a rematch against Charlotte Independence. The two teams played their previous match against one another in Charlotte on June 18 in which they tied 1-1.

"It's never easy to play the same opponent back to back as we will with Independence but we are looking forward to the challenge and have our game plan set," said head coach Jimena Rojas. "Should be a fun one and we hope to have the advantage with the South Slope Blues back home at Memorial!"

Now the Blues take on Charlotte Independence at their very own Memorial Stadium in the hopes of a victory with three more games left in their season.

Charlotte Independence is ranked fourth in the South Atlantic Division with a 2-3-2 record. Leading goal scorers for Charlotte Independence are Ayden Yates, Sutton Webb, and Kennedy Jones.

Asheville City’s women’s team will travel away for their next game against Greenville Liberty Soccer Club the following Tuesday, June 28. They will be going head-to-head for the third time with the previous games between the two ending in a 1-1 tie and a 1-3 loss for the Blues. Greenville Liberty SC is currently ranked first in the division.

Following the women’s game, the men will take on One Knoxville Soccer Club at 7:30 p.m. and will be home at Memorial Stadium for their next game this Friday, June 24 against Tri-Cities Otters.
