The Asheville City men’s team won 3-0 in a road game against Tennessee SC. The Blues now hold a record of 7-0-2 and remain first in the South Central Division.
Asheville City began the game quickly, scoring in the second minute. Lucas Gonzalez found the net with an assist from Quenzi Huerman making the score 1-0.

In the 16th minute an unfortunate injury forced Luca Erhardt to leave the game, being replaced by UC Santa Barbara sophomore Finn Ballard-McBride.
Not long after, the Blues scored again in the 23rd minute. This goal was scored by Huerman thanks to an assist from Ballard-McBride.

Then, just before halftime, Ballard-McBride scored to make the lead 3-0.
In the 64th minute, the Blues made a pair of changes. Daniel Cerezo entered the match for Finn Ballard-Mcbride and Clay Obara entered for Ryan Baer.

Towards the end of the match a few more changes were made. Aiden O’Brien, Oskar Lenz, and Haruki Yamazaki entered for Malcolm Ward, Bachir Ndiaye, and Ryan Baer.
Ndiaye was named honorary captain as this was his final match with ACSC.
The Blues kept a solid defense and were able to keep a clean sheet for a well needed shutout.
The undefeated men still sit atop the Mens USL2 Deep South Division Table, with One Knoxville trailing right behind in second.
“This was an absolutely massive win for the boys,” coach Scott Wells said.
Next up for the men’s team is a crucial home game against One Knoxville at Memorial Stadium with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
