Asheville City Soccer Club’s Women’s team travels to Greenville, SC for a rematch against Greenville Liberty SC on Friday.

The teams battled it out to a 1-1 draw Monday night at Memorial Stadium. A win for the Blues would bring them closer to a chance to play in the USL W League playoffs.

Greenville Liberty SC is ranked first in the South Atlantic Division with a 3-0-1 record, led by goal scorers Caroline Conti and Megan Bornkamp.

“We want to win it, we are here to win the league. So on Friday we are going for a victory,” head coach Jimena Rojas said.

The women’s team will return to Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, June 8 for a rematch against the NC Courage. Last time the two teams met the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The Courage are ranked second in the division.

The men’s team will also be on the road this weekend to face Peachtree City MOBA and then will return to Memorial on Monday to face Tormenta FC.
