Asheville City Soccer releases 2022 Women's Roster

"Very excited about this coming Friday. We started working on our roster back in January, and finally, we get to see them competing,"  women's head coach Jimena Rojas.

Asheville City Women kickoff their 2022 season on Friday, May 20, with a strong team of veterans and fresh faces. 

"Very happy with the intensity and performance of our players and staff during the training sessions," said coach Rojas. "We are ready to go!"

Lindie Clark | UNC Asheville | Midfielder | Mauldin, SC

ACSC welcomes Lindie Clark from UNC Asheville. During the fall 2021 season she started 13 out of 16 games she appeared in. Before UNCA, she attended Coastal Carolina and played in nine matches. In high school she tallied 145 points with 63 goals and 19 assists during her high school career. Clark was also named Rookie of the Year as a freshman, Regional Player of the Year, All-State, Greenville News All-Upstate team as a junior. This year, she started a program called TopSoccer, connecting UNC Asheville women's soccer with the community. 

Kiley Dulaney | University of Arkansas | Forward | Jacksonville, Arkansas 

Dulaney comes to ACSC from the University of Arkansas. As a sophomore she appeared in 24 matches, netted three goals, and four assists. She played in four NCAA tournament matches during the 2021 campaign. As a student athlete she was named to the SEC fall academic honor roll. Before college, her club team played in the National Premier League final. Dulaney anked in the top-five in the 7A Central Conference in points and goals in her first two seasons at Cabot HS.

Van Fitch | University of Arkansas | Forward/MF | Jenks, OK

ACSC is excited to welcome Fitch for the 2022 season. A freshman at the University of Arkansas, Fitch has a decorated career. In highschool she made the 2017-18 Texas All-Conference Team with Tulsa SC ECNL and was a Two-Time Academic All-Conference player. In addition, she made the 2017-18 TopDrawerSoccer Top 150 and was a 2021 High school All-American. 

Alyssa Frazier | Samford University | Midfielder | Towanda, Ill. 

Alyssa Frazier comes to ACSC from Samford University where she earned first team All-SoCon for three consecutive seasons. During her senior season she started in all 22 games while recording eight goals and 10 assists. During the season she scored four game-winning goals. Frazier was featured on SportsCenter Top 10 for a goal she made during the regular season. Before college, she earned all-state honors in Illinois. 

Sachiko Gamo | Davis & Elkins College | Midfielder | Otsu City, Japan 

ACSC welcomes Sachiko Gamo from Otsu City, Japan. As a freshman at Davis & Elkins, she started in all 17 games that she appeared in. During the 2021 season she scored five goals and tallied one assist. After her freshman season she was named second team all-conference and all-freshman team  

Taylor Gardner | UNC Asheville | Forward | Cherry Hill, NJ

Taylor Gardner joins ACSC after a successful freshman campaign at UNC Asheville. This past season she was honored with Big South Freshman of the week, Big South All-freshman team, and was a top 10 scorer in the Big South. In high school she was a three-time all-conference selection and a one-time all-state selection. Notably, she was also a three sport athlete in high school. 

Kelly Gordon | TC Roberson HS | Midfielder | Asheville, NC

Kelly Gordon came up to the first team from the ACSC academy team this season. Gordon attends TC Roberson Highschool and is ranked #24 in the TopDrawerSoccer class of 2024 South Atlantic region ranking. While in high school she earned all-conference and all-region honors. She has also participated in CESA ECNL for the past three years. 

CJ Graham | Lipscomb University | GK | Swannanoa, NC

Graham returns to Asheville City from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. As a redshirt freshman she started all 21 games and played a total of 1,940 minutes. She lead the entire NCAA and tied the ASUN record with 13 shutouts, and finished 6th in the NCAA with a save percentage of .862. In addition, she won ASUN Defensive Player of the Week and was named to the ASUN All-Tournament team. After the season, Graham was named to the ASUN All Academic Team, First Team All-ASUN, ASUN Goalkeeper of the Year, and made the All-Region Second Team. 

Laura Greb | Western Carolina University | Forward | Asheville, NC

ACSC is pleased to welcome Laura Greb back to Asheville. During the 2021 season she was a team leader and the leading scorer for the Blues. While at Western Carolina University she was a crucial player. During the 2012 season she played in 19 games and started 18, tied for second on the team in goals scored (3), assists (4) and points scored (10) and had two game-winning goals. In 2011 she played in all 20 matches and started 15, ranked second on the team in goals scored with four, tied for second in assists with three, and ranked second for points scored with 11. 

Anna Hamner | Elon University | GK | Asheville, NC

ACSC welcomes rising sophomore Anna Hamner from Elon University. Prior to her college career, Hamner was named NC 3A All-State as a sophomore and senior and a two-time NC 3A All-Region player at Asheville Highschool. She was also named WMAC player of the year during her sophomore and senior campaigns. 

Emilee Hauser | University of Arkansas | Midfielder | Cape Coral, FL 

Emilee Hauser is a rising junior at the University of Arkansas. So far in her collegiate career, she has been a part of a team that has won two Regular Season SEC championships, as well as gone to the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8 this past season. Prior to college, she was named Decade Player of the Year for high school soccer at North Fort Myers High School in Florida. She set her school’s record for 142 career goals and was an All-American her junior year.

Phoebe Hollin | Temple University | Defender | Oldham, England 

Hollin joins ACSC after her freshman year at Temple University. During the 2021 season she played in 15 games, starting in 13. She clocked 868 minutes, the second most of any true freshman on the team. Before Temple she played for Manchester United, an elite club team in England since age 16 and was a member of the Manchester United U16 team that won back-to-back league championships and reached the FA Cup for two consecutive years. 

Cami Johnstone | Old Dominion University |  Midfielder |  Burke, Virginia 

Cami Johnstone comes to Asheville after three seasons at Old Dominion University. In 2021 she appeared in 18 matches, making 12 game starts for the Monarchs. She scored one goal in the 2-0 win against American and also tallied an assist in the same game. She was second on the team for assists (5) and shots (22). While at Robinson Secondary School in Virginia, she garnered First Team All-District, All-Region and All-State honors. 

Ashlyn Kane | Mississippi State | Defender | Jacksonville, FL

ACSC is excited to welcome Ashlyn Kane to the club. She comes to us from Mississippi State University, after transferring from the University of Florida. While at UF she appeared in three five matches and was a member of the SEC academic honor roll. While in high school she was a member of the US Soccer Developmental Academy. She netted 11 goals and nine assists while a freshman at Bartram Trail high school. 

Yuliia Khrystiuk | Old Dominion University | Forward | Vinnytsia, Ukraine

ACSC welcomes Yuliia Khrystiuk from Vinnytsia, Ukraine. She comes to Asheville after playing two seasons for Old Dominion University. During the 2021 season she appeared in 18 matches, making four game starts. She Scored three goals, Recorded two assists, and Attempted 16 shots.During the 2020 season she appeared in five matches making one start. Before college she was a member of the Ukraine National Team. 

Chloe McCleary-Small | UNC Asheville | Forward | Asheville, NC

Chloe McCleary-Small returns to Asheville City SC for yet another season. Mccleary small, who has played with the blues since the inaugural women's season. McCleary-Small who played at both Montreat and UNC Asheville in her undergraduate career brings confidence, skill, leadership and much more to the team. 

Roisin McGovern | Temple University | Defender | Dublin, Ireland

ACSC welcomes Temple University defender Roisin McGovern who has played two seasons for the owls. Her freshman season she played and started in 10 games and tied for most goals at two. During her sophomore year she served as a team captain and started all 16 games. Before Temple, she was a member of the Dublin Representative Team that won the National Provincial Championships at the U14 and U16 levels and won multiple leagues and cups with her previous club team, Enniskerry FC. 

Dani Murguia | University of Georgia | Midfielder | Cleburne, Texas

Dani Murguia comes to Asheville after four seasons as a midfielder at the University of Georgia. During the 2021 season she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team,  finished fifth in the SEC for total points (29) and third for points per game (1.53), started all 19 games and recorded 1,168 minutes. Before her collegiate career she played high school soccer in Texas. She was named 2017 and 2016 CHS Offensive Player of the Year, 2017 and 2016 All-District Offensive Player of the Year. 

Gillian Oyos | UNC Asheville | Midfielder | Abingdon, VA

ACSC is excited to welcome back Oyos to the club. This past season at UNC Asheville she started in all 18 games that she appeared in and tallied one goal and one assist. Oyos was also a starter her freshman and sophomore seasons, leading the team in goals in 2019. That same season she received Big South all-conference honorable mention. 

Addison Porter | Vanderbilt University | Forward | Asheville, NC

Porter comes to Asheville from Vanderbilt University after her freshman season. Prior to college she was awarded the North Carolina State Player of the Year award as a senior and ranked as the nation's No. 199 overall player. She currently holds the AC Reynolds assists record with 35. In her first season at Vanderbilt she played a total of 150 minutes in 8 games. 

Gabriella Santora | UNC Greensboro | Midfielder | Boca Raton, Florida

ACSC welcomes Gabriella Santora to Asheville after three seasons at UNC Greensboro.   During the 2021 season she Played in all 18 games,  starting in 12 of them. She tallied two assists, and Logged 1,213 minutes. In 2019 she was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team. During high school she helped lead the Boca Raton Bobcats to the Florida 5A 2016 State Finals. She played club ball with South Florida Football Academy and served as a team captain. 

Halle Skibo | University of Iowa | Forward | Asheville, NC

ACSC welcomes Halle Skibo, a rising freshman forward at the University of Iowa. As a crucial player for AC Reynolds soccer, she spent all four years on varsity and was a team captain. In 2021 she was a NC All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference selection. Her freshman season she earned all-conference and all-region honors. She played club soccer for the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy ECNL team. 

Riley Thompson | University of Florida | Midfielder | Collinsville, Miss. 

Asheville City welcomes Riley Thompson, who just finished up her freshman season at the University of Florida. Thompson appeared in 19 matches with the gators this season. Prior to Florida, Thompson had a successful career playing with IMG Academy where not only was she a top goal scorer, she received numerous Development Academy weekly standout accolades, as well as to the 2021 IMG top 100. 

Maison Wells | Samford University | Defender | Brentwood, TN

Maison Wells arrives in Asheville after her freshman campaign at Samford University. As a freshman she competed in 10 games for the Bulldogs, totaling 102 minutes on the pitch. While at Brentwood High School she had a standout senior year,  starting every game for a total of 15 goals. She was named District and Brentwood Player of the Year while earning a spot on the All-District team. 

Emory Wegener | University of Georgia | GK | Johns Creek, GA 

Emory Wagener comes to Asheville after a successful career and four year starter as a Georgia bulldog. As a senior she earned 19 starts and earned an 11-5-3 record as the starting goalkeeper. During the 2021 season she tallied 70 saves and finished fifth in the SEC with six shutouts. During her junior season she was selected to second-team All-SEC and made the 2020 SEC watchlist. During high school she was a member of the 2015 Georgia state championship team. 

Asheville City Women launch their 2022 season at Memorial Stadium on Friday, May 20, against NC Fusion.
