Asheville City Soccer Club is excited to announce an expansion of their behind the scenes team ahead of the 2022 season.

Tim Blekicki - Director of Community Engagement

Tim Blekicki is a thirty-year resident of Western North Carolina and lives in Black Mountain with his wife and their daughter. He is the instructor of the A-B Tech Project SEARCH and works as the Supported Employment Coordinator for The Arc of North Carolina. He has worked diligently in the business community to create inclusive professional development opportunities for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, focusing on collaboration with workforce development agencies in the region. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Board of Directors for Hammer & Heart, an urgent home repair for neighbors in need in the Swannanoa Valley. "I’ve been a supporter of Asheville City SC from day one and I could not be more excited to be a conduit for the club to connect with the community in this role."

Jason Farley - Director of Sales

Jason Farley joins the Asheville City Soccer crew as the new Director of Sales. Jason was born in Delaware and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He played Club and High School soccer at Wicomico Senior High School in Salisbury, MD. Upon graduating High School, Jason was invited to train in Holland at the Winning Mood Soccer Academy in Amsterdam. He later toured Europe as a member of TeamsUSA participating in the Holland Cup, Dana Cup (Denmark), and Thistle Cup (Scotland).

Upon returning to the States Jason attended college at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland where he graduated with a Degree in Communications and played soccer for the Bobcats until injuries ended his college career.

Upon graduation Jason moved to Washington, DC to work and became an avid supporter of DC United during MLS's inaugural season in 1996.

Preferring a less hectic life style Jason returned to his home on Delmarva where he worked and coached Middle and High School Soccer in the Woodbridge School District in Bridgeville, DE.

Jason acquired his love of Asheville and Western North Carolina during his annual visits to the city to attend Asheville native Warren Haynes's Chistmas Jam.

When Jason's wife was offered a new job in East Tennessee they jumped at the opportunity to call the area home.

He currently lives in Roan Mountain, TN, where he and his wife manage a small farm and enjoy the lifestyle and beauty the area has to offer.

Frances Huffman - Assistant General Manager

Frances Huffman is currently a student at Queens University of Charlotte, majoring in Sports Management. The Asheville native, a graduate of Carolina Day School, is currently a defender on the Royals field hockey team and manager of the men’s volleyball team.

Frances joins ACSC as the Assistant General Manager after working as an intern with the club for the 2021 season.

Kristy Kepley-Steward - Director of Communications

Kristy Kepley-Steward is a Nebraska native (go Huskers), moved to Asheville nearly 10 years ago and quickly fell in love with the beautiful mountains, vibrant lifestyle and the feeling of “home” that the community embodies. Kristy works as the Digital Media Manager at the local ABC affiliate, WLOS. “I love digital media; no joke, it's a love thing. It is a clear-cut way for fans to get a clear understanding of an organization’s purpose and principle...it gives the organization a voice in the community.” A huge soccer, and overall sports fan, Kristy is extremely excited to be able to work with the club and the fans of Asheville City SC.

Jack Whidden - Assistant Communications Director

Jack Whidden is a recent Asheville resident originally from Tampa, Florida. An alum of Florida Atlantic University, Jack worked as a content contributor covering FAU Athletics. There, Jack would combine his love for the Owls, social media, and memes into a career. He interned with Asheville City in the Summer of 2021 where fell in love with the club and the passion of the fanbase. “ACSC has given me a sense of home despite being foreign to Asheville. The club and the community embraced me in ways I’ve never known before. To be a Blue is to be a part of a family” Jack enjoys playing and watching soccer, especially his beloved Aston Villa from Birmingham, England.

Asheville City’s women’s and men’s teams will return to play in the summer of 2022. For more information about the upcoming season visit www.ashevillecitysc.com and @ashevillecitysc on social media.
