The Blues' WPSL side will travel to Charlotte, NC for the conference semifinals this Wednesday, July 14. They will face the Charlotte Eagles (7-0-1) for the third time this season, after each side dealt the other their only loss during the regular season.

Earlier this year, the ladies in blue fell to the Eagles 3-0 on the road, but bounced back just a few days later, capturing the reverse fixture at home with a 1-0 win. After last season's (2020) playoff loss to the Eagles, and the two contests this season, there's no doubt this game will be an intense battle.

The win against the Eagles earlier in the year came after a clutch penalty kick by Emma Dawson late in the game. Dawson and the Blues will be looking to add to their momentum from a strong finish to the regular season.

With a win on Wednesday, Asheville City will either face NC Fusion or Wake FC, each winning their respective divisions, for the Carolinas Conference title.

The game will be streaming on the Charlotte Eagles Eleven Sports page, but home town supporters can also attend the watch party hosted at Olde London Road English Pub.
